A Message from your District Attorney
On behalf of the dedicated men and women of the Office of the District Attorney, welcome to our website.
I served as an Assistant District Attorney since January 1, 2000, with the last 6 years being as First Assistant District Attorney; I also served as a Criminal Staff Attorney for the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. I am admitted to practice in various courts, including the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court; also worked as a Child Protection Investigator for the State of Louisiana.
I am a former Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice and Sociology for 10 years at Northwestern State University- Fort Polk and Upper Iowa University- Fort Polk.
I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Criminal Justice from Northeast Louisiana University and my law degree from Southern University Law Center.
Our duty is to protect the public and the interests of the people in a fair and just process. The programs and services offered by the office illustrate those duties which we take very seriously.
